Vatican confers SAINTHOOD on Teresa not for writing a poetry, not for hard working, not for her degrees or even not for her service to the wretched people at Missionaries of Charity for her whole life. She has been declared a Saint for "The power to cure the ill with miracles".

So, the peoples among you who are excited for her Sainthood must accept that diseases can be cured by 'locket', 'tabiz', 'kaboch', or by 'mantras'.

If you fall ill, will you not go to hospital? if you go, it will be understood that either you are hypocrite or you don't have faith on Teresa.

Yes, remember one thing more, the owners and the reporters of the Anandabazar Patrika group and other Bengali media, who make you dancing in joy, do not keep their faith on 'lockets' or 'mantras' when they fall ill. Pacho saren of remote village Baliguma, P.S.- Joypur, Dist Bankura was accused as a witch and then he was brutally  tortured  by the villagers. It was an incident of last week of December 2014. Pacho went to nearest hospital and he was admitted at that time. On 4th January 2015, when he released by the doctor and tried to enter in his village some villagers resist him. Pacho and his family were driven out. At last, local administration, our organization “Science and Rationalists’ Association” involved in this case. Joypur Police station has taken a bold step by arresting a villager. On 12 th January we met the villagers and convinced them. On 18^th evening we arranged an anti superstations program and disclosed some miracles of witch doctors, god man. Pacho’s neighbors promised us regarding the harassment of Pacho. 

 জয়পুর থানার বালিগুমা গ্রামের আদিবাসী পাড়ার বাসিন্দা এক পরিবারকে ডাইনি অপবাদ দিয়ে মারধর ও পরে গ্রাম থেকে তাড়িয়ে দেওয়ার অভিযোগ উঠেছিল৷‌ ওই পরিবারের কর্তা পচো সোরেন গত ১১ জানুয়ারি জয়পুর থানায় অভিযোগ দায়ের করেছিলেন ৷‌ জয়পুরের বিডিও ১২ জানুয়ারি ওই গ্রামে যান ও আদিবাসী পরিবারটিকে তাঁদের বাড়িতে ফিরিয়ে দেওয়ার উদ্যোগ নেন ৷‌ সেদিন দুপুরে ওই গ্রামে ভারতীয় বিজ্ঞান ও যুক্তিবাদী সমিতিরও কয়েকজন সদস্য ওই গ্রামে যায়। পচো সরেনের অভিযোগ, ২৮ ডিসেম্বর গ্রামের কয়েকজন বাসিন্দা তাঁকে, তাঁর স্ত্রী ও দুই মেয়েকে তুলে নিয়ে গিয়ে মারধর করে ৷‌ তাঁদের ডাইনি অপবাদ দেওয়া হয় ৷‌ এরপর বিনা চিকিৎসায় তাঁদের বাড়িতে আটকে রাখে ৷‌ পরের দিন তাঁরা কোনওক্রমে বাড়ি থেকে পালিয়ে বিষ্ণুপুর হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হন ৷‌ ৪ জানুয়ারি তাঁরা সুস্হ হলে তাঁর শ্বশুর বাড়ির লোকেরা তাঁদের নিয়ে যান ওই থানার ভোলারডাঙা গ্রামে ৷‌ ৯ জানুয়ারি তাঁরা নিজেদের বাড়িতে ফিরে এলে, ১০ জানুয়ারি গ্রামে সালিশি সভা ডাকেন গ্রামের মোড়ল ৷ ‌ সেখানে তাঁদের ডাইনি বলে ফের অপবাদ দেওয়া হয় ও বেলা ১২ টার মধ্যে গ্রাম ছেড়ে চলে যেতে হুমকি দেওয়া হয়৷‌ তাঁরা গ্রাম ছেড়ে চলে যেতে না চাইলে তাঁদের ফের মারধর করে গ্রাম থেকে তাড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়৷‌ তিনি থানায় যে অভিযোগ দায়ের করেছিলেন , তাতে গ্রামের মোড়ল-সহ ১২ জন গ্রামবাসীর নাম দেওয়া হয়েছিল ৷‌ তাদের বিরুদ্ধে সালিশি সভা করা ও তাঁদের মারধর করে গ্রাম থেকে তাড়িয়ে দেওয়ার অভিযোগ করা হয়েছিল ৷‌ 

১২ জানুয়ারি অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে দিলীপ মান্ডি নামে একজন কে গ্রেপ্তার করে জয়পুর থানা। ১৩ জানুয়ারি প্রশাসনের উদ্যোগে পুলিশি প্রহরায় পচোর পরিবারকে গ্রামে ফেরানো হয়। ১৮ জানুয়ারি ভারতীয় বিজ্ঞান ও যুক্তিবাদী সমিতি বালিগুমায় একটি ডাইনি প্রথা বিরোধী সচেতনতা শিবির পরিচালনা করে। পুরো অনুষ্ঠানটিতে পচোর পরিবার দিলীপ মান্ডির পরিবার সহ গ্রামের সকল মানুষ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। গ্রামবাসীরা কথা দিয়েছেন তারা পচোর পরিবার কে স্বাভাবিক জীবনযাপন করতে কোনো রকম বাধা দেবেন না।

A 65 years old woman accused as witch

 

Hurhura is a remote village in District Bankura of West Bengal. Only 50 people live in this tribal village. As usual there is no electricity and primary school till this days. 2nd week of August 2014, a 65 year old woman was mentally and physically tortured after being accused as witch by the villagers.
The members of our organisation "Bharatiya Bigyan O Yuktibadi Samiti" (Science and Rationalists' Association of India) met the villagers and tried to convince the villagers. On 17th August, we organised an anti-superstition camp in the play ground of the village.

MISTERY FIRE IN A VILLAGE OF INDIA

3 rd week of june 2014 a mistery fire frightened the household of Dipak Ruidas and as well as the villagers. It is a incident of Bhara village, of Bankura District of West Bengal, India. As usual, we the members of 'Science and Rationalists Association of India' ran to the spot. We interact with Dipak's family and other villagers and disclosed the miracle.

बांकुड़ा जिले के मेटिया ब्लाक स्थित फाड़ा गांव में पिछले तीन-चार दिनों से एक घर में अपने आप आग लगने की घटना से लोगों में आंतक का माहौल है। गांववालों का कहना है कि यह किसी भूत का कांड है तो युक्तिवादियों का दावा है कि घर में आग लगने के पीछे भूत नहीं बल्कि किसी शरारती दिमाग का काम है।
फाड़ा गांव के निवासी तथा मकान मालिक का नाम दीपक रूईदास बताया गया है। दीपक के चार भाइयों में तीन भाई एक साथ रहते हैं जबकि एक अन्य भाई पास ही अलग रहता है। दीपक का परिवार आर्थिक रूप से काफी दुर्बल है। उसकी चार बेटियों में से मझली बेटी ज्योति ने ही पहली बार देखा था कि उसके घर में अपने आप आग लग रही है जिसे देख वह काफी घबरा गयी। ज्योति के बाद परिवार के अन्य सदस्यों ने भी देखना शुरू किया कि घर में आग लग रही है। मगर आग कैसे लग रही है, उसके बारे में पता नहीं लग पा रहा था।
गांव में अंधविश्वास में डूबे कुछ लोगों का कहना है कि यह किसी भूत का काम है जो उस घर में आग लगाकर लोगों को डरा रहा है। घर में आग लगने के पीछे भूत की करस्तानी की बात पर विश्वास करते हुए गत बुधबार को दीपक के घर एक ओझा को बुलाया गया। ओझा ने तंत्र-मंत्र कर उस घर से आग व भूत को भगाने की कोशिश की और पांच हजार रुपये लेकर चला गया। उसके बाद भी उस घर में अपने आप आग लगने की घटना नहीं थमी। इस बीच स्थानीय बीडीओ और ग्राम पंचायत प्रधान भी दीपक के घर पहुंचे थे। रूईदास के परिवार वालों ने इस समस्या से मुक्त करने की गुहार लगायी।
आखिरकार गुरुवार की सुबह भारतीय विज्ञान व युक्तिवादी समिति के महासचिव तथा बांकुड़ा के निवासी विप्लव दास ने फाड़ा गांव में दीपक रूईदास के घर का दौरा किया। विप्लव दास ने रूईदास परिवारवालों से अलग-अलग बातें की। उन्होंने रूईदास और गांववालों को समझाने की कोशिश की कि आग लगने के पीछे किसी काल्पनिक भूत का हाथ नहीं है। रासायनजनित पदार्थ का इस्तेमाल कर घर में आग लगायी जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि स्थानीय प्रशासन की उपस्थिति में अगर इस घर में पहरेदारी की व्यवस्था की जाए तो आग लगने के पीछ के रहस्य का पर्दा उठ सकता है।
